About BACHE

BACHE's Objectives Are:

  • To encourage the training and development of staff to recognise standards. 

  • To promote Best Practice in the activities of its members.

  • To enhance the profile of FE and HE cleaning and associated support services through professionalism.

  • To influence the decisions of the Funding Councils, UK Universities and other key stakeholders to benefit the activities of its members and their customers.

  • To facilitate the networking of all its members.

  • To disseminate information of value to members.

  • To represent the FE and HE cleaning community wherever necessary.

  • To provide advice to members.

BACHE is represented on the National Cleaning Forum and a number of other professional bodies and Higher Education Groups.

Membership of BACHE

Membership may be granted, at the discretion of the Executive Committee, to Higher and Further Educational institutions funded by any of the Higher Education Funding Councils (England, Scotland and Wales) plus DELNI and HEA funded institutions in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland respectively.  Other institutions financed through UK funding councils can join as Associate Members at the discretion of the Executive Board as can bodies with a purpose or remit primarily devoted to Higher and Further Education. Cleaning Service providers who are members of the CSSA may join as Associate Members at the discretion of the Executive Board.
